Jon and I first met at my friend's wedding. I was a wedding guest and Jon and his buddy were actually wedding crashers! The wedding took place at a golf course and Jon and his friend had just finished playing in a golf tournament and won! They knew the groom and his family and as Jon says were asked to stay! His amazing dance moves on the dance floor caught my eye haha and well won me over! I got up the nerve to say hi to him, but the conversation didn't go very far and after the wedding we went our seperate ways! When my friend April got back from her honeymoon, I asked her about the wedding crasher stating he was cute! She immediately got in cupid mode and set up an outing for all of us to go on a double date golfing! To make a long story short my amazing golf skills won Jon over and well the rest is history as they say :)

I took up running as a sport before meeting Jon and have competed in many races! This particular day- May 19,2012, Jon and I participated in a 8k in Colonial Williamsburg to benefit the wounded warriors foundation that morning and I was very excited that Jon ran with me! I also planned for my parents to visit that weekend and they arrived in town later that day. We all went to Jon's parents house for a cookout and I even noticed Jon and my Dad talking, but thought nothing of it. 

That night Colonial Williamsburg was hosting music and a fireworks show to conclude the race and we decided to take my parents to it. I also  LOVE fireworks so i was equally excited to go! the whole drive to CW Jon was very anxious and his hands were cold which they are usually always warm. Even after we parked the car and got there he was very lovey and holding my hand and well nervous. I asked him what was wrong he mentioned his body must just be worn out from the race so I thought nothing of it.

As we were seated waiting for the show to begin Jon kept getting antsy asking what time the fireworks would start and then as soon as they started he dragged me out to the middle of the field. I of course was thinking what has gotten into him and he even made me put my phone away as I was trying to take pictures of the beautiful fireworks. That's when he turned to  face me and I basically went blank as he started talking about us and then he got down on one knee, I went into shock! I was so surprised and caught off guard and what a perfect proposal it was! It took a few minutes of processing for me to have it all sink in- but he sure did surprise me!!!

We will be getting married on river front property in Williamsburg VA on June 8, 2013. The reception will follow on the same property! We are very excited to celebrate this special day with all our family and friends and know we will all have a blast! Get your party shoes on!!

We are very excited to be going on our honeymoon to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic! Looking forward to a week of sun, sand and relaxation!!
